My name is Daniele and my husband’s name is Michael. We both were born and raised here, where we married in 2014 and have built a beautiful life together with our four children along with all our dogs and cats out in the country in upstate New York.
Here at True Friend Doodles, we strive to produce puppies that will give you the joy that our dogs have given us. Our dogs are a big part of our family and we can't imagine life without them. Our dogs are all raised in home with lots of love from our family. We focus on health and temperament... a bonus is their adorable looks! In our experience, doodles are good with kids, easy to train and amazing family pets.

At True Friend Doodles we focus on health and temperament not quantity.

We are not a kennel breeder, just a family with a love of doodles. We believe that breeding goldendoodles is not just a business, it's a passion. We are dedicated to breeding goldendoodles that are not only healthy and happy but also reflect the unique personality and character of the poodle and golden retriever breeds. Our commitment to our puppies and our customers is unwavering, and we strive to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved.

ENS
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early scent Introduction (ESI) are both training programs that introduces mild stimulations, scents to very young puppies (days 3-16) in a controlled way. This curriculum helps encourage neurological growth, which improves the development of the pup’s immune system, cardiovascular system, scent identification and stress tolerance.
Socialization
Teaching a puppy positive socialization at an early age is crucial to creating a well-balanced dog. Our puppies are handled and played with on a daily basis with adults, children, grandparents, and other animals. In my experience, our kids are our best tool we have. They are quick, unpredictable, loud and impulsive and may not have the most gentle hands. However with daily handling they adapt and overcome any fearful interactions in stride.
Desensitizing
We acclimate the puppies to foreign objects , loud sudden sounds (door slams, crying children, fireworks, thunderstorms, pots falling, saws, and drums, etc) and new surroundings each day. This practice helps them adapt more easily to new surfaces and environments later on in life. We introduce new areas in the home/yard, offer unique toys, barriers and obstacles (I.e: stairs, tunnels, wobble boards, grates) We are cautious and mindful of puppies fear periods to ensure that we are never scaring them, but instead creating positive experiences.
Weekly Focus
The first couple weeks is all about maintaining their health and growth along with their Neurological stimulation. As we progress into week 3 we shift focus to descentizing and socializing and transition into the weaning process. Around week 3/4 we begin puppy mush as a stage 1 in the weaning process and also begin Instilling early potty training, by introducing where we want them to potty instead of just anywhere. We continue change the consistency of their kibble until they are on fully dry and eating on their own and continue their potty training until they go home at 8 weeks. Week 5 through week 8 they become exposed to several textures, smells, environments, toys and obstacles. Along with Resource guarding is an important focus as well, this is to prevent any future issues with food or toys taken from them unwillingly. We also introduce crate training to their daily routine, so when puppies leave us they do not fear a crate and families have a safe place for their puppy when unable to supervise.
We pride ourselves in providing the best experience you’ll ever have getting a puppy. We provide transparency, milestone and training updates, weekly weights and photos and videos through out on our Facebook so you can watch your puppy grow. Responding to emails and DM’s are done within 24 hours to provide raving fan service. Don’t forget to check out some of our testimonials.
